It’s oh-so-exciting to start packing for your much anticipated dive trip, whether it’s to a new destination or one we’ve been to before. However, in the mad scramble to water the plants, drop the dog off at the kennel, respond to those last few important work emails and fit everything into a suitcase the airlines won’t charge you extra for, packing can be stressful.
How many times have you arrived at your much anticipated dive destination, only to reach into your suitcase or gear bag to find you forgot something important?
Depending on how remote your destination is, you might not be able to swing by a store to find that vital item.
We’ve got you covered. We’ve created a checklist specific to dive travel.
And if you find out you don’t have something you need, you can most likely find it in our huge online inventory! Visit us at Scubatoys.com or swing by our shop in north Dallas and we’ll hook you up.

I forgot to pack underwear for a dive trip on a liveaboard in Exuma…had to just go without!
Great list, thanks! I once forgot to bring my swimsuits, which for diving are sport suits. My only options were tiny bikinis in the resort gift shop, and I’m a little old and flabby for bikinis. Never again – they are the first thing to go into my bag!
Great list. I always forget something and end up having to rent, borrow or purchase items.
This is very helpful. I’ll be printing this off for my next diving trip.
Fortunately, I am obsessive about packing and plan/pack in advance. So far, I’ve never missed anything of importance.
